  1. What did you do in 2004 that you’d never done before?
    Become completely debt free.
  2. Did you keep your New Years resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Nope. Resolutions are dumb. Last year I said 2004 was the year that I wouldn't take on any side jobs.
  3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
I don't have any close friends that are into kids.
  4. Did anyone close to you die?
I don't have any close friends that are into dieing.
  5. What countries did you visit?
    Belize.
  6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?
A house. Contruction started in June, and it should have been done around Thanksgiving. That didn't happen.
  7. What dates from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory?
Feb 1st: Superbowl in Houston, and the reopening of La Strada.
    March: Belize Trip
    Nov. 9th: Halo 2
  8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Staying diverse and open. It sounds corny, but I watch people get locked up in what they're supposed to "be", and they miss out on everything around them.
  9. What was your biggest failure?
Learning a new programming language. I'm still stuck writing ASP, which makes me waste time on tedious development when I could be focusing on the logic behind a site.
  10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I hurt my wrist in my sleep. I think it was carpal-tunnel, and it just had a funny way of showing up. And it HAD to happen in the middle of my basketball league.
  11. What was the best thing you bought?
I built a new PC. That's not the best thing, but the only thing that I personally bought. (I got XM Radio, an iPod Mini, and a flat panel monitor as gifts)
  12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
My wife, for rocking my world on a daily basis.
  13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
My buddies Doug and Sasan, for overdoing the party/drug scene. Moderation guys!

    Babylon

    FireFox. Halo 2.
  16. What song/album will always remind you of 2004?
"Move Your Feet" - Junior Senior (I know it came out in 2003, but it started to become "global" in 2004)
  17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
    happier or sadder? happier
    thinner or fatter? the same
richer or poorer? richer in money. richer in happiness

Daily Show with Jon Steward. The only smart, funny, quality show on TV.
  25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?
It's not really hate, it's more of an embarassment of entire concept of fascist, imperialist, Amerika - and all it stands for. In other words, the red states.

Da Vinci Code. America, the Book (by The Daily Show)

  39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004.
Don't forget to call your mom. You may not notice the time slipping by, but she definitely does.
  40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year?
    Is this not enough?
    This blessed sip of life,
    Is it not enough?
    Staring down at the ground
Oh, then complain and pray for more from above,
    You greedy little pig
Stop, just watch your world trickle away
    Oh, it's your problem now
It'll all be dead and gone in a few short years

Just love will open our eyes
Just love will put the hope back in our minds
Much more than we could ever know
Oh, so don't burn the day away

    Dave Mathews Band - Pig
