I consider myself to be a creative person. Scratch that; it sounds egotistical. Most people I know consider me to be a creative person. Talk to me in person for 5 minutes and you'll pick up on that. There are ideas bouncing around in my head all day long.

When I was a kid the teachers called it "daydreaming". When I was homeschooled I was considered "gifted". In college people thought I "lacked focus". In the business world I could be labeled as having "Adult ADHD". But in reality, I've always felt the world moves too slowly. The structure of education is focused around those that need structure. Sometimes that hinders growth.

For years I've wanted to write. Not in a "journalist" sense; just to be able to track what's going on in my life. Being a hands-on kinda guy, I've created my own database-driven content management system. I've tried Movable Type. I've used static files. Everything turns out to be too much work. I need a tool that's always available, easy to use, and platform independent. Blogger seems like a perfect match.

I don't have to worry about the code behind the site. Yay! I don't have to worry about installing Perl, .Net, PHP, etc. on whatever webhost I'm using at the moment. Horray! All I need to do is write. And this seems like a good start.
